What or Who is DKP Creatives?
The Heart
DKP Creatives was officially born in 2024 as a brand, however, it has been developing into its fullness for the past 15 years. Dabria Karapita-Parker first began as a published writer at the age of twelve when her short story "Sea Turtles" was published in a Canadian collection of short stories. Since then, not only have her short stories and teen devotionals been chosen for publication, she has also published a blog, launched a podcast, worked as a professional emcee, hosted her own radio show, voiced radio commercials, worked in national radio marketing and promotions, and volunteered extensively in church and outreach ministry. All of this has culminated into the launching of DKP Creatives as a hub for these creative and ministry-oriented outlets.
The heart of DKP Creatives boils down to Dabria's personal passion: to use the gifting of God in creative avenues to encourage, uplift, challenge, and inspire others to find their own voice.

From Childhood Roots to Inspirational Heights
From her earliest years, Dabria exuded a nurturing spirit, deeply rooted in the warmth and dedication of her Christian upbringing. As the eldest of her two sisters and brother, she naturally assumed a role of protector and caregiver, prioritizing her family's well-being above all else. Raised in a homeschooling environment steeped in faith, she absorbed values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering support from both her parents. While her father served as a beacon of quiet strength and unwavering love, her mother played an equally vital role in shaping her character as a women of wisdom. Together, her parents provided a nurturing environment where Dabria flourished, guided by their example of faith, love, and having tough conversations in order to grow. Their steadfast presence, coupled with their encouragement and support, has been instrumental in molding her into the resilient woman Dabria is today.
Courage in Adversity: Dabria's Inspirational Story
Dabria is a testament to the resilience and strength found within the human spirit. Despite facing the shattering experience of divorce at the tender age of twenty-two, she refused to let adversity define her. Instead, she relied on God, her family, and her community, and turned to her greatest passion: writing. Through the cathartic release of poetry, Dabria embarked on a journey of healing, delving into the pains of her past, the slow process of unfolding from abusive experiences, and ultimately discovering the beauty in the aftermath. This transformative journey culminated in the creation of her debut poetry book, "State of a Sunflower Soul," a poignant reflection of her healing process set to be released mid-June 2024.
Under the banner of DKP Creatives, Dabria wears many hats – hosting her podcast "Your Double Dose of Dabria," showcasing her skills as a professional emcee, and crafting her next literary masterpiece. Currently employed by a national network of radio stations in Canada, Dabria remains deeply rooted in her Saskatchewan upbringing, finding solace in the embrace of prairie sunshine alongside her faithful husband Benjamin and rescue dog Mango. With an adventurous spirit and a boundless imagination, she eagerly anticipates the journey ahead, weaving together the threads of her past into the vibrant tapestry of her future endeavors.
Unexpected Bliss: Dabria & Ben's Journey to Forever
In a beautiful example of God's redeeming love, Dabria discovered love anew when she least expected it. After diving into her own healing process, she crossed paths with Benjamin Parker during a Bible study, and their connection ignited over a spoiler for the Harry Potter series. From that God-ordained moment, their bond flourished, quickly growing from friends to partners as they embarked on adventures and shared deep, heartfelt conversations. Ben's unwavering support of Dabria's dreams, his respect for her family, and his humble love became a guiding light for Dabria, standing by her through life's trials, triumphs, and the continued healing process. Their love story culminated in a joyous marriage ceremony in the Rocky Mountains on October 22, 2023, marking the beginning of a forever shared journey filled with love, laughter, faith, and unwavering devotion.
